Default Washer hoses

You know the horrible corrugated hose that does the headlight washers, for the guys that's had problems with them in the past what did you do to repair or join them.

While removing my front bumper I managed to split one of the lines and it will need replacing or repairing and was wondering what's been done before.

Could you not replace with silicone and clamp it on for extra protection?

I probably could but thats a lot of extra faf, was hoping for a quick but good repair, don't really want to take the bumper off again if it was to fail.

From past experience it'll only happen somewhere else if it's brittle enough to be splitting already, if it's corrugated I can imagine it'd be hard to sleeve it and make a good seal, iv not done it on an A8, but just from past experience on other cars.

Your probably correct, I should replace it all before refitting the bumper to be sure.

Do you need the corrugated hose that is the outside protection?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/321421416553

They also sell a split version to slide over existing wiring / tubes etc, if that's what you need.

Yes it was the stuff that looks like that.

Time was an issue so I had to buy normal washer hose and replaced all the hoses on the bumper so i wouldn't have to mess about with it again.

Same thing happened to me the other week.

I got a bit of silicon hose and a small clamp.
Works a treat.
Tempted to replace all the lines next time the bumper is off.
