Well the genuine BOSCH sensor came in from Euro car Parts.... I'm rather embarrassed to say that the genuine sensor seems to have resolved the problem. Connected the new sensor and fault went away instantly.

I've yet to get the bumper bolted back on properly and the wheels back on, it was dark and well below freezing here, so will test drive properly tomorrow.

Lee - thank you so much for your support. You'll have to let me know what you drink!

No worrys mate this is what forums are about helping one another , there's a lot to be said about genuine parts or at least OE stuff .....its not the first time we have seen it and for sure won't be the last

Like I say ...there's so much Chinese crappy parts out there .....sensors , air masses , egr valves and all the rest of it !! They end up clouding the initial diagnosis and even if they work at first normally a few weeks later it's back again !

Got there in the end ....a fix is a fix

One last thing to sort now. I've lost a couple of the bumper nuts (the ones with the little cups on to locate the bumper). Just warming the 3D printer up to make some new cups up and it'll be back together soon I hope!
