yes, I've just had both of mine done recently at a local exhaust specialist. Mine started to blow and make a noise. It's quite common for these to go with age.

The old ones were cut out and new ones welded in. Cost me approx £220 all in.

Also, if one is blowing/ damaged I would replace both at the same time this will save you money in the long run.

Going by the black soot, quite surprised I never heard it (though I usually stood at the back when starting it).

BTW You need to add ACC to your signature

EDIT: Just a little addition. About two hours after posting this message I remembered that the car only went through it's MOT at the start of August. Very strange that it wasn't picked up at the MOT.

Yes, find a garage that can cut it out and weld a new one in. I've just had one of mine done. Changing the exhaust is engine out I believe!

To be honest I think I've remember when it start blowing I was about 40 miles from Dublin, didn't heard anything before...car suddenly sounded a bit louder... definitely it wasn't blowing when I first saw the car... I'll get it replaced soon along with good service and she'll be ready to hit the road 😊😊😊
