Default Pairing with Bluetooth

This has just been a right chew on for me. And i've had these cars before!!

Brief reminder for anyone:

1) Insert the key into the ignition and turn the car to ACC ON. Do not start the car.
2) You now have 10 secs to scan on your phone for the Audi kit, otherwise it hides itself again
3) Pin Code by default is 1234. You can change it by going to TEL > SETTINGS > BLUETOOTH SETTINGS > PIN
4) Done!

I was going wrong as I have been using the keyless go, and for some reason it won't detect it if you do it that way!!

So there you go!

I just find that mine's a bit hit and miss to be honest, sometimes finds it first go, sometimes takes two or three goes to pair.

Once it's paired, it's good 'for ever' though.

Mine pairs every time. In fact so fast I've been wondering if it detects me and my phone (should be a song lyric there) getting into the car.
Google Nexus 1. None of your Apple crapple for me

Having said that, I can't access the contacts folder which is a real pain

It pairs everytime, I meant the initial pairing the first time you get it.

Confused the life out of me!

Mine is now worse than ever
Pairs up when I first set it up, has always had to have the code entered every time I get back into the car. Now since the lovely people at Apple updated the phone software, I manage a couple of calls until it blows out the link then won't link again or find the Audi until I shut down the car and start again.

Having a quieter life now and managing to listen to the Ipod and radio more though !!

I have tried and tried to run the update disks through but it just seems to get nowhere, although the other updates have run through fine the phone won't have it.
Cheers

Hi All,
Nobody has mentioned the fact that there are 2 ways to connect via bluetooth with slightly different user functions. my Blackberry 8900 can connect as a simple bt still using the phones antennae and directory thus emitting radio waves into the car but it can also connect in rSAP mode which imports the directory to the car and uses the cars antennae and the phone is only using bt for the connection to the car. (something along these lines) maybe it will help somebody.

Depends which of the car kits you have in the car. There's one that's essentially a BT handsfree and one that does rSAP.

And actually a third which has a module which you can connect the phone to via wires or an rSAP adapter
