Cant enable hidden green menu

BT is refering to the factory bluetooth telephone not a bluetooth music device

so your on 5150, you can stop there or continue

im not going to object to Julians reasoning on disk numbers, this has been around for yuears and rumours and info gets passed about and changed

you could do it manually and untick the bose before continuing

if you get CP its a trip to Audi and a few quid, not that big a deal unloess you get an idiot garage who havent a clue what your talking about

OK, so now I have v5150 installed I wanted to initiate the hidden green menu. I have gone into VCDS inot [07], then [10] adaptation, the entered channel 08, rwad the value which was 0. I then eneterd desired value of 1, test, save, then done go back.

I went back into VCDS and checked the store value of channel and it displayed 1.

However when pressing "car" and "setup" together the hidden menu doesnt appear.

Have I done something wrong? Do I need to reboot the MMI in some way?

yes reboot the system first

Audi MMI force restart procedure – 2G & 3G

Locate button: SETUP button. big control knob. upper-right soft button.
Press and hold those button at the same time.
After two seconds release buttons. Audi MMI screen will go black for few seconds and system will reboot.

sometime you have to try a few times to get in the hidden menu

OK. I have rebooted twice. On my A8 that was "tel", big control knob, upper right soft button.

Then to try and access the hidden menu I press together the Car and Setup buttons at the same time and hold for a few seconds? Is this correct. It's not working for me.

Press setups and hold just before you press and hold car. Not both at the exact same time. This might help.

I hold down 'Car' first then together with 'Setup' and wait.

Finally got it working.

Press "Car+Setup" (car slightly ahead of setup) together until hidden menu appears, took about 5 seconds on my car

Then scroll down to Diag Settings and press enter

Then scroll down to Car Menus Maske and press enter

The find Battery Level and press enter

Scroll down the the bottom and press Accept Changes

Press the return button 3 tmes to return to the front screen

and ten the battery level indicator is back under car>system
