2003 D2 FL S8. Irish Green Pearl/Beige. Solar sunroof, auto-dim mirrors, electric rear seat functions, ski hatch retrofit; extended leather. Aftermarket DVB-T, reversing camera and full XCarlink (Bluetooth etc.). 2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation".  (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!  Finally: gone, but not forgotten..... 1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors. e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer. And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

Once again a BIG thank you to everyone (PsYcHe, Mannyo), and especially to Del, for all the support over last couple of days  >>>>>>>> Could any one WITHOUT factory fitted Voice/Speech Control confirm coding in module 77-Telephone (it will be in the main window under Coding <in VCDS>) PLEASE I'd like to understand why coding for No Voice Control (0010900) actually activates this function and Telephone's microphone. If it's a glitch in VCDS then I will email Ross-Tech and ask for some explanation/understanding. Cheers

I can understand why, here is why (I think)
If you have voice control, then the microphone is connected to the Voice control module since it is possible to have voice control and no bluetooth. You code the phone module without voice control because the voice control module is in effect controlling the infotainment (including the phone as it is part of the infotainment). If you code the phone module for voice control, then the phone module will expect the microphone to be connected directly to itself, and it in turn would then handle the voice control. As a side effect, since voice control is now listening through the bluetooth module without a microphone, the whole thing stops working.

It makes sense. I was under impression that bluetooth was standard, but then if you have the actual phone installed with a sister sim installed then bluetooth is pointless, but still wouldn't harm to have it as standard Cheers Manny

My thanks to you for persisting until you fixed this. I have had the same problem for 12 months probably since I did my 5570 MMI update. I followed your story with interest and applied the same codes to 07 and 77 which also worked. Not logical compared with the VCDS guidance but, it works, so again, thanks. Richardracer 2006 S8 V10.
