are both av's setup the same in settings, for example when you change pal and ntsc etc they are for the channel that your on at the time, so you could have one on NTSC and one on PAL

failing that, the video is only 2 wires, dont see how it can be scrambled in any way on one AV and not the other, unless theres a problem with the tuner. best bet is the settings

Have you another input to try, e.g. a video camera?
Most of them have the required 3-phono red/yellow/white output.

That's how I tested the AV input on my system before buying a DVB-T tuner (only part-fitted).

2016 Volvo V40 T5 Cross Country (4WD) with ALL the toys including adaptive cruise etc. etc. Osmium Grey with Blonde/Charcoal leather interior. Polestar performance "optimisation". (A much rarer model than a D2 S8 by the way!) Oh, and a brand new engine at just under 30,000 miles on the factory one!
Finally: gone, but not forgotten.....
1998 D2 PF S8. AgateGrey/Platinum. Every option (I think) except electric rear seats, tiptronic steering wheel, ski hatch, towbar & dimming door mirrors.
e.g. Cruise control, NavPlus/TV, Bose, GSM, Xenons, Solar roof, Parking sensors, Alcantara/leather everywhere of course. (internal dimming mirror added later)
1998 (very early) Ford Focus 1.8 Zetec; ABS/TCS, Heated screen/mirrors, Aircon, Auto-dim mirror, Leather, Trip computer, Cruise control, OEM Ford SatNav with CD changer.
And before that a lot of Rover 800s, a few oddities, a lovely Triumph Dolomite 1850HL with Overdrive and way back in my schooldays an Austin Seven aka Mini 850!

How did you get on with the retrofit?

I'm looking to fit reverse cam with the guideline things that swing with the steering.

I'm also wondering about interfacing a front facing cam that will switch to rear when reverse is selected but that's further down the line, one spy at a time.

I have seen instructions on the net before. I seem to recall that if you have analogue TV (maybe digital too) and a certain revision of park distance control ECU, it just needs recoding and you get the automatic rear cam view and guidelines.
