MMI update CDs
I tried to upgrade the MMI to 5570, and failed miserably. The system reports that my upgrade discs are invalid. I tried two copies of CD1, burnt using different media with the same result.
It starts reading the META data before reporting the error. These are self burnt CD's using Roxio Toast on my mac, burnt at 4x speed. The discs burnt and verified successfully. I think being a 2004 car the current MMI version is very old, so there are two things I guess. 1) my discs really are no good, perhaps it does not like CDRs. 2) my MMI version is to old to upgrade to the version installed with CD1. I really want to get to 5570, so does anyone have an original set they can lend me, or perhaps if you are within a reasonable distance of Blandford I can drive over and we can do it wherever?

You may have made the same school boy error as me and burned the ISO files to the disc rather than writing the disc image to the disc!
Check if it's only 1 file showing on your disc - if so bin them and use an option on cd burning software that extracts the ISO

I checked, and both contain lots of files.
Attached to this post is a photo of the current MMI version, I have no idea how old this is or even what the version number is.

Quick google reveals this version is to old to upgrade directly to CD1.
I need to source version 1110 and go to that first.

Audi should be able to source you the disks with the correct version on it, I did have a copy somewhere, but can't find it...
