Thats the one I found to get the code for the antenae. What caught me out was that I expected the original connections to have an antenae. I was expecting the yellow plug to come off the old module and straight on to the new module.

Do you know what the original yellow plug is for?

Not off hand, ill have a look to see if etka has details. I think the purple one connect to the antenna amplifier, which then goes to the roof antenna

Pretty sure the original had 2 antennae connections where the new one has none (unless you have an rSAP module)

As I have had to drive the car with the install only 90% complete, why does the MMI not run? The optics are in the module, but the loom is not plugged in. Surely this cannot confuse the system that much.

im guessing by having no power you have a break in the most ring, so sounds probable to me, one of the experts will no doubt be along shortly to confirm

Exactly that.. If any module in the loop fails (or has no power), the whole loop is down.

I have installed the bluetooth module, new connector and dongle. The MMI recognises that I have bluetooth and allows me to delete pairings and change the code. What I cannot do is pair my iPhone 3GS with it - The iPhone does not find the car.

Could this be due to the MMI software version? I am on a lowly 2120.

Probably, you can get a backup from the dealer, ebay or google "E73A79E9B4FE02DFEAF53176A13AD9C93B5B20D2"
