Interesting there's a wheel the same as mine on eBay 😀 Airbag should be the same.

If I buy the used wheel off eBay and it's scruffy ( hard to tell in pics ) is it possible to swap paddles over to my wheel ?

Those new paddles look great, mine doesn't have paddles at the moment but wondered if I could use a sendhand wheel as a donor to fit paddles and wiring to mine.

This is the wheel I'm looking at on eBay, it's hard to tell but looks a little scuffed at the bottom when zooming in. Mine is mint but has no paddles.

If your one hasn't got the paddles then you can't retrofit it.
If its cheap enough I would buy it just for the chrome buttons as they cost few quid and are much better than PF.
Also if its cheap you could also get a tube of Woolies leather restorer and most of it if not all will disappear and wheel will look nice and fresh.

If you want these you will still need oem paddles as you only swap the actual paddle. This is how they look on black wheel with chrome buttons.

Hopefully I've not misread a previous post, but can I swap my black paddles to the silver ones, even with a four-spoke heated steering wheel? I think the part numbers are different?

Yes you can.
Heating element plugs in to the steering wheels buttons same as paddles.
S5 and S8 aluminium paddles fit. There is one type of aluminium paddles which wont fit.

By the way, how comes your S8 have black paddles. Alu ones were only for S8's or at least on all of them??

New they are around £160 each so time for you to do some eBaying.
S/RS5 use the same part numbers for aluminium paddles.
If you lucky you can get them cheap second hand, few years back I bought a complete exc. airbag S5 wheel with paddles and chrome buttons for £90.

That's brilliant, thanks.

Yeah, I always found it strange, but I remember seeing another S8 with black paddles that also had a heated wheel, so I just assumed that having one meant I had to live with the other. They look wrong to me, so it's nice to know I can change them.
