It wasn't expensive, it automatically sends the feed to the MMI screen, doesn't affect anything to do with the reversing or the TV module.

I used a cheap waterproof camera that simply uses the screw for the number plate light to secure it. It all looks very factory.

Same camera by the looks of it as I used on my D2.
(Different interface method though for an RNS-D)

I believe you can buy combination camera/light units to replace the standard D3 numberplate light.
Something like this, though this was for A6:

Sadly there's no equivalent for the D2 and that won't fit one as it's too short and too fat/wide.

Hopefully a D3 owner can advise re MMI interface.

Ok, when it all arrives let me know. CAN connections are available in the CAN connecting block above the fuses, passenger side.
