Default Non working folding mirrors.

The folding mirrors on my 98 S8 wont fold.

When activated there is a bit of noise but no movement.

Does anyone know of a guide for stripping the mirrors as I'm sure it's just lack of use and a good lube of the mech will sort it.

I'll 'bump' this thread.....

My nearside mirror's a bit hit and miss, so this is of interest to me too..

I'm not sure, but I think Mike (Conan) did a stripdown some time ago, might be worth having a dredge throug the forums.

There is 2 parts to the mirror operation. The bit that moves the glass, in the mirror housing and the bit that folds the mirror in the mounting point to the door. My passenger side got whacked by a pedestrian and now dosnt work so a strip down and repair is needed. I'll post when I have done it.
