Thanks Goran . I have the 32v so getting to it not a problem getting the bolts out is. I've ordered 2 new bolts and tomorrow i will take the cold chisel to it i'm just hoping the head doesn't snap off or i'm screwed

1996 4.2 A8SQ - Ming Blue. 178k on a cambelt! Trader's 8. Delivered to A8Parts at Lifex.
2003 2.8 A8SQ - powder blueish. Fill in for a while. Sold on.
1998 1.8T A4 Avant FWD. Ming Blue (there's a theme here), PEX for the 97 S8.
And a list of non VAG going back 40 years before I saw the light.

Hmmmmm

Well i got them out with a cold chisel and hammer result. New thermostat in all put back together topped up with coolent and she's dripping. Strip down again today

Thanks mate i'll give her a go and see if the thermostat has fixed it if not sender The thermostat that came out has audi on it so it's either original or someone replaced it with genuine parts.
