Looks like that's a generic 4-wire sensor so you have to splice the connector.

This one is the correct part cross referenced by the original number (077906265J), and is the same price.

well they arrived and look like the correct part but looks like you need the arms of Mr tickle and the hands of a newborn to get to them.

Anyone any tips or links to a guide for this job ?

MJ is no doubt the expert on doing this, but it can be done by mere mortals as well. I did mine a couple of years ago, once I managed to find out where they were. Not sure of the correct procedure, but removed the driver side one from below. The passenger side I got to from above, but that resulted in some blood loss and bruising.

Dropping the exhausts is probably the best solution, but it's a bit of a faf I would imagine.

If they're not generating codes, I'd be tempted to leave them. They are only used to check CAT efficiency and don't directly effect fueling in any way.
The fronts are way more important.

Sorry, my mistake!

The descriptions of the job made me think you were doing the rears!

The fronts are quite doable. I did mine with an offset O2 socket from memory, with a couple of socket extensions.
Definately fiddly, but I got to both from above. I think I only removed the engine cover and inlet pipe.

I thought Bosch had stopped making the sensor with the correct plug, for a sensor with a generic plug and a new plug for the harness (seriously, Bosch?).
Michaela would be replacing these quite often, so she should know.
I ended up with NTK sensors on mine.
