Default Phone cradle

Has anyone found a non-Nokia/Blackberry/Sony Ericsson cradle for the A8?

I'm proper frustrated, as the only bloody wire I'll have hanging about will be the one for my mobile phone to charge!!!

Or do what I'm in the middle of doing, fit a USB socket to the back of the cubbyhole and connect in there.. Begrudge paying 100 quid for a cradle

The cubbyhole that the cradle lives in.. you can't really take the cradle out, but the USB bits seem to fit in OK

Where are you drawing power from?

Cheers Neil. Having thought about it, the Rsap adapter may not be what I need. An update of the MMI should hopefully sort out the phonebook issue, and I only need something for power after that. But, I will keep it in mind

I'm splicing into the rear cigarette lighter feed with a lighter socket and a standard USB charger to power them.

I'll try and do a write up when I get the power spliced in at the weekend.
