Air Suspension Compressor about to blow?
Hi Folks,
Hoping someone can help me on this although, reading the posts here, i think i'm in trouble. I was out in the car today, no problems or warning lights on the dash. I park up, and before I reach the front door, there's a banging noise coming from the car. It's like stones in a blender. I open the hood and it's on the passenger side down by the wheel arch (UK car). I'm almost certain it's the air compressor and it's making a massive racket. I took a video and uploaded it onto you tube here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RwYWx7dIE9Y I'll bring it to my Indy guy tomorrow morning but I know he probably won't have the time to read through threads on it and will probably propose a new pump (if that's what it needs). I was wondering if anyone has any ideas around fault finding steps that I should propose to him? If it needs a new pump, i wasn't clear if there was general consensus that the German replacements are up to scratch. I assume if I go main dealer, we're into a 1-2k cost to fix it, right? Any help or thoughts would be really appreciated. Thanks Lads, A
