Thumbs up 100,000 miles today...

....and I genuinely think the engine is better than it has ever been. Using full sport mode and tiptronic more regularly (having been encouraged to do so by my IAM driving instructor) and the car seems to be loving it.

A little way off the 165k miles I sold my last car at....

I remember mine passing this milestone (no pun intended) in mid 2009 when driving up the A68 heading off on one of our visits to Blantyre. I pulled over into a lay-by to take a phone pic of it and SWMBO was mystified......"What on earth are you doing?"

They just don't understand, do they?

Mine is approaching 120,000 miles soon and is also feeling better than at any time under my ownership. After the "gearbox scare" a couple of months ago I've started to make more use of it and actually drive it as it should be driven, always at appropriate speeds and under ideal conditions of course

The fact I always use BP Ultimate or Shell Nitro now had already changed the response and performance noticeably so when I drive "enthusiastically" it feels like a totally different car to what it has been during my previous years of owning it............and I'm liking it, lots.

Mine is also approaching the 100k. Though it drives like new - and i'm not just saying that.. it really does.

I'm contemplating however how much value i'm going to lose if I keep it and allow it to go over the 100k?

If I sold it, i'd only be looking for another one, maybe this time a 4.2TDI?

any thoughts?

For reference, its a 2007 3.0 TDI SE, and has more toys in it than any car i've ever owned!
