If it's just the F125 switch as you've been told then get that fixed and you can sell the car for double what you paid for it all day long.
If it's a replacement gearbox needed then it can often cost double what you paid for the car.

Just a few tips on the sale:
1. This isn't usually a great place to advertise as most of us already have an '8 2. A bit more information would help: service history; tyre condition/tread; paitwork & leather; MOT date; and so on 3. Trying to sell an S8 with a gearbox fault to anyone who knows these cars will be hard work. I'd have it fixed before the sale. And more details on the gearbox service would be good, such as who did it and was it it a 'proper' flush. 4. If you can't be bothered to post photos here, at least add a link to the GumTree ad. GLWTS
