VCDS Faults

Did a VCDS scan and apart from the normal handles and rear footwell faults I had some new ones that won't clear.

The Aux heater works as far as I can tell. Turn it on via HVAC controls and it kicks in and you feel the heat coming from the exhaust.

As far as I can see its coded correctly. Right hand drive, with leather and a diesel.
Plus 1 for the microphone.
It was set to 03 and I added the 1, reset and rescan. same fault code.

If anyone got any ideas, that wold be great.

The auxillary heater code ......... has the extra water pump been fitted on the thermo top aux heater .

Can you set the timers so it comes on in a morning ?


I did the aux heater mod on mine so i can have them on the timer, and i have that code..... the company data bus one .

It works fine so i never really looked into it but i think its just the level of communication not quite in sync between the modules .

I did the same coding but I've not fitted the pump.

I got everything I need (I think), apart from the pump cables.
Just not got round to it yet.

Could be that then.
