Help please possible oil leak S8 D3
Hi guys
Have noticed some oil residue on exhaust manifold heat shield On offside or left if looking from front, also can smell oil in cabin if car is driven hard & Bit of smoke, Removed all plugs on this side all seem fine not covered in oil, Could it be the rocker cover gasket ? Thanks in advance |

I would check the rocker cover gasket. I have a vague memory of that on my old D3 S8 and it turned out to be just the rocket cover gasket but the oil was pooling around the undertray and causing the smell.

I think it was the gasket in the vee, is that the rocker cover? that was leaking on Ron's (Noretal) V10 S8.

Just to update in case anyone has similar oil leak on a s8 d3
It was the O ring on one solenoid causing oil leak thanks to kele above Not the actual rocker cover, should have checked properly before buying new cover for £260 At least it’s sorted now. Last edited by Kazs8; 10th February 2021 at 05:35 PM. |
