Replacement lambda sensor
Evening all
Just had new exhaust mid section fabricated with sports cats and new pipes (will upload a vid shortly). One of the post-cat lambda sensors is knackered and I need to buy a new one. ANy recommendations where to get from as Eurocarparts doesn’t seem to have anything. Also - if anyone has a good ECU programmer that could delete the post cat sensors for me that would be a great help. Then I won’t need one at all!! Many thanks Mossy

The originals are £140 a pop so cheaper to get them mapped out. https://www.autodoc.co.uk/bosch/1149091
I don't have a map for it yet but should have fairly soon |

I had both of my post-cat lambdas mapped out by MRC tuning 7 years ago, no problems since. I highly recommend them. It only cost £150.
I'm running either 100cell or 200cell HJS cats, cant remember which. Goes through MOT no problem. They also mapped out and removed the secondary air pump (electric fan inside the airbox) which failed. Well worth doing also. That also requires removal of some of the vacuum hoses and blocking off ports on the back of the engine. I can't remember the cost of that, I'll look it up. Physical work of removal cost £68. I can't find the re-coding cost. Labour costs may be a bit higher now. Last edited by Goran; 21st August 2021 at 08:49 PM. |
