Just a boring fuel consumption report.
Went on a short trip to the Paris Air Show.
Round trip, 499 miles, 82 litres used. Effectively 27.6mpg
I think the traffic jams in Paris knocked it down a bit, should be able to do better.

what would you doing in paris ? Probably the same as we did a few weeks back - sightseeing and enjoying the food and drink. :D
By the way, we got into The Louvre (legally, paying) without queuing at all. If anyone is going soon and planning a visit there PM me and I'll tell you how. ;)

:) nice comeback
I guess it depends how you define Paris. For example London could be defined as up to the M25, but in reality suburbs of London stretch even further.
Likewise, if you include Paris Urban area, that stretches up to CDG airport.
I was surprised to find out, depending on which suburban areas you count, Paris actually has a bigger population than London!

as you suggest , it depends where you draw the line ..the paris urban area is reckoned to be something around 12 million , london calculated on the same basis around 14 million
but le bourget is officially not in paris , it's a commune with it's own council /mayor/budget etc
if you want to be precise I suppose our friend boris is mayor to perhaps 3 times as many people as the mayor of paris ; what both have in common is that a lot of local decisions are made in smaller units contained within the city , called arrondisments in paris and boroughs in london ...but what's in a name !

did you get to the museum ?...never got around to it myself

I managed to check out most of the museum hangers at Le Bourget, some nice stuff in there. The airshow was a bit dissapointing though, way too crowded and crowd control poorly organised.
Lack of any new jets on display, no F-35, F-22s, no Hornets even and they are fairly old too. No Russian military jets at all, not even the promised mock-up of the new T-50.
There was a relatively new Chinese jet which did some aerobatics, that was interesting.
I'm just going to have to go to MAKS one year, that's going to be a proper air show.
