Does anyone know the part number for the LEDs that fit in the door handles please? My keyless entry isn't working and neither are the downlighter LEDs. An investigation of the driver's handle showed the sensor and LED in a bit of a state so I'm going to have all four handle sensors and ideally LEDs changed as well. The sensors are on order from China (or actually from a UK hub I think), just need to track down where to get the LEDs. Thanks!

I got mine from China in Aliexpress, but there was a recent thread on here that suggested a reasonable cost from a dealer...

Thanks Paul! Do you have a link to those LEDs on AE by any chance? Ta!

Sorry, I looked but can't find the original order, was a few years back. A quick search throws up retrofit kits, but not the individual components.

The part numbers you're looking for are 4H0947133A (left) and 4H0947134A (right), or their superseded parts 133B and 134B. They cost less than £16 each from the dealers, and over £25 on eBay.

Do all the A8 executives have these door handle LEDs or are they part of an optional extra?

I'm not sure to be honest, my car (launch spec SE) didn't light any handles when I bought it at 2.5 years old, was told it didn't have them......

A while later a keyless sensor died, when I disassembled I found LEDs, which when replaced with new worked fine!

That's interesting....
just looked under my handles (2011 model) and can see the LEDs. Just seems odd that all 4 are out.
Read the handbook last night which shows how to set external lights, but implies that they should come on anyway if light switch set to 'auto'.
Looks like i'll be attempting that job soon then!

I suspect the early LEDs were made of cheese, as they obviously failed fast. Two fell apart in my hand when removed!!!!

All 4 of my LEDs are out as well. Not sure if they are all dead or just wired in series

Just got my car back after a nightmare with a failed alternator and can report that with new door sensors from eBay (4 for about £30) and new LEDs from Audi (£16 each) my keyless entry is now working fine. I do wonder whether the previous owner stored the car outdoors causing the door handles to fill with moisture and rot the electronics inside.

Glad it is resolved.

To be fair, cars are supposed to work outdoors!

I just think the quality of the factory LEDs was poor, and the keyless sensors have always been rubbish - at least on the D4 you can replace just the sensor, if you had an older car you would have needed paintwork!

Replaced all mine Friday, I can't believe I've had the car all this time and never seen them lit before. So at 4 years old when we bought it, they'd already failed. They fell to bits as I removed them from the handles. All the AliExpress ones work perfectly.
