Hi , I have a last edition 2002 model S8 with the light mushroom trim . The panels onth etop of the handle that extend down to the window switches have scuffed up badly and lost the surface covering . Is it possible to replace or use a wood trim ?
Thanks ,steve

Hi , yes saw that was looking at it last night , looks great but doubt it would go with my colour interior ... but has got me thinking though ...

Did you ask A8 Parts if they had a replacement?

Yes, it was me :)
I only replaced the front ones, but when I ordered new ones from Audi, I was given a choice of wood ones to match the rest of the interior.
I figured they would last longer than the standard rubber coated ones, so went with them. Unfortunately, the match to the rest of my wood trim isn't too clever. I still prefer them to the rubber ones though.
Have a look at the thread here...
