....I started my driving with a LHD BMW 520.....cost me £300, and lasted me ages....loved the car too.

This was followed by a £150 mk4 cortina, with a 2.0 lump in it with twin carbs, went like stink and looked like ****e (benetton had nothing on my cortina with their polo ;))

After that? A Volvo 240...again a surprising car, with many standard features that some cars still don't have these days....

After getting shot of this, it was a Rover SD1 2.6, no v8's around at the time of purchase so settled for another surprising mota.....unfortunately this one ended up wrapped around a Cypriot telegraph pole :(

My most embarrassing mota? A 1.4 Orion Equipe.....'nuff said

This was replaced with a 2.9 v6 Granada Scorpio. Not the Cossie, but plenty rapid and comfy enough.

Then a B5 Passat, which was a good substitution for the A6 I really wanted.

And since then, 5 years on, my beloved '8....the car I've kept the longest, and loved the most
