Finally had chance to get my 20's refurbished (been running 18's throughly the winter). I wanted a just off silver colour but I'm not sure about them, I think they're too dark. The job it's self is 100% perfect, it's just the colour.... Any thoughts?

Difficult to tell from a standalone photo like that, what are they like alongside the car and what colour is it?

Have the centres been sprayed all over to match, apart from the 4-ring metal logo?

I like the colour, quite similar to my 20's +++

Although in this picture they appear really dark.

Apparently regular silver is "sooo last century" (or so I've been told by some - younger - drivers), and the trend is a move towards darker/black alloy colours/shades. So I wouldn't worry too much, you're just keeping up and being 'in", and - as an added bonus - brake dust won't show as much.

I think they look great on a lighter colour car, mine is quite dark. Cheers for the reassurance though.

Cheers Del.

Sorry HPsauce, I didn't answer your question. Yes, I had the centres wet painted in the same alloy colour. The rings unclip from the back.

Thanks, I know how they come apart (I'm refurbishing my "spare" set at present) so am interested in what others decide to do and how they do it.
How did you get them out without any breaks?

So far I've only fully-dismantled one of the four (with two breaks in the rings :o ) and don't have all the right materials on hand to complete the job - Halfords beckons! :tuttut:

I didn't actually do it, the place that refurbished the wheels did it for me.
