    Hi Sean,
I am waiting for the oil cap from A8 Parts, should be here by lunchtime. When drilled and fitted it will allow me to use the car without waking the neighbours.
The car is booked into the garage for the PCV thingy to be replaced on 22nd October, the new part is on the shelf in the garage. They want the car for three days. Longer than I thought but they are doing a full service and checking everything.

    Hi Sean,
I am much better now, still nowhere near 100% but slowly improving.
    Thanks for the part numbers.
A8 Parts are sending me one, should have thought of them to start with.

    Hi Ray
Almost missed your message. The correct part number is 079103485A. Costs around £12 from dealer. That's for the 3.0 V6 and 4.0 V8 petrol. Diesels have a different number, but no idea what the difference is. If it's the oil separator, then the part number is 079103542B,D or E. Cost is upwards of £190.

Hope you're still on the mend.

    Sean

    Hi Sean,
I have a terribly loud whistle from my engine. I suspect the oil seperator. So I can use the car I need a replacement oil cap. The idea is to drill a 5mm hole in it to release the vacuum caused when running. I don't want to run without the cap on. Do you know if the caps are different? I've found ads for caps that fit according to them most cars including A8

    Hi Sean,
Do you plan on 2024 at Leamington Spa?
If so what plan do you have so that Linda and I can keep you company?
