Just an update - I did copper-slip the whole thing. I took it off, sprayed loads of the lovely coppery stuff, and re-assembled it. I like it fitted all the time, tends to keep people away from my rear end

Think is I scraped my Audi V8 but my friend have a one and I can ask if hi need something
