Hey John,
The coilovers have definitely improved the aesthetics and handling of the car but it comes at the expense of ride comfort. I’m fortunate enough that I do not drive the 8 daily anymore so it’s not too much of a bother for me. At the moment I’ve got them wound really low so the ‘bouncy-ness’ is amplified on crappy road surfaces. If you want to keep decent comfort levels maybe have a look at Bilstein shocks? The reviews on them are very good and come highly recommended. If you do decide to go the coilover route there are cheaper units to KW. Mine were about £920 shipped but you can get the AP coilovers for around £550 which are meant to be very good for the price point. You’re not too far from me so we can arrange a day to meet up and you can have a go in the 8 and see what you think.
Cheers
Rich
