Also noticed a BA A380 just left for Madrid.

Weird one just now, an RAF Chinook just flew overhead, pretty low coming from the West, apparently from near the M40 beyond High Wycombe - maybe the airfield there (Booker)?
It flew towards and over Northolt then down to and over Heathrow, all at about 1000ft. Now heading across SW London near Weybridge.

Then followed the M3 SW towards Camberley. :Confused:

So presumably on it's way back to base at Odiham?

I had a good one few weeks ago, KC135 from Mildenhall flew over Norwich with some jets in diamond formation behind. Only the stratotanker is visible on radar and that went over to the Baltics.

Well what a coincidence, the same Chinook has just passed 15 miles to the south of us!

Today we currently have the Nato Sentry doing circles over us. I can hear it but not see it as it's a bit cloudy currently.

It's up at 31,000ft! Noisy engines!

Indeed! +++ Maybe I could hear it as I knew it was above and actively looking for it. It soon went, dropped to 19,000ft and appears to have refueled with a USAF stratotanker above the North Sea.
