Had the use of a 65 reg A4 Diesel whilst the A8 was in, quiet like MMI 3G compared to 2G version.

Car needs two new tyres, the rear pair are at or close to minimum (1.6 and 2mm). Fronts are at 3.5mm each.
Health check picked up the front coolant pipe is corroded, and the upper arm bushes will need replacing soon but are ok at the moment, apart from that its a clean bill of health. Pads/disks etc. all fine with no problems to report.

manny what was included in the service as that sounds a decent price??

Audi Recommended the inspection service, which is basically the full service but without the road test and no spark plugs, air filter, fuel filter replacement.

I got a full report on the status of the car, and no issues identified except those in post 100.

I had already replaced the air filter and pollen filter. My D3 is on variable servicing, so the service was completed using Longlife Oil, with a full inspection. Brake fluid change was £50, and the rest was the inspection service.

I had the same service done at Jack Barclay Audi and was very impressed. Would highly recommend the fixed price servicing scheme +++

It's only an oil and filter change, screen wash top up and a squirt of white grease on the door and bonnet catches.

Just had the two rear tyres replaced, fronts still on 4.5mm when measured by Micheldever tyres.

I've gone for Dunlop Sportmax, partly because of the low noise rating. Will replace the front ones in the coming months so all four will then be the same.

I've only done 400 miles in the D3 since it was serviced nearly 2 months ago, I think thats a record low for me.

Here are some fresh pictures.

Just been cleaned after being left for 3 weeks whilst I was in France with the Volvo.

Took her out for a drive, having covered less than 800 miles since the beginning of April she is feeling left out.

Next weekend I'll be doing 400 miles in one weekend.

The old girl now has a fresh MOT, I had advisories for both front tyres being worn on the inside so she got two new ones on the front and a 4 wheel alignment.

Also completed a retrofit replacement of the TV tuner from analogue to DVB-T.

Large picture alert...

Not too bad, just lots of nuts and bolts and cable ties to deal with. It was a voyage of discovery, you dont really need to disconnect anything except the TV tuner (obviously) and the big purple connection from the Bose amp. I also disconnected the battery as a precaution, lucky because one of the satnav retaining bolts dropped into the radio module and I could get it out without doing any damage.

I thought it would be easy.

I got no idea why those big holes are at the top of the unit.
