Yes, that the manufacturing month. You can get more detail elsewhere/online but it's that line on the sticker.

 I quite like the idea of Audi brochures comparing interiors with animal colours.

'Donkey' is about right, I'd say, with perhaps a tad of beagle's ears.

I am really enjoying all this prattle about colours!!!!
I think my seats are just dirty in colour 'cos it is used as a grandkids school run vehicle.
A little meet by a few A8 heads and the fun follows.
Good that folk care and that you are all so willing to help each other. I do miss being in the Army and the comradeship that raised.
O/S dipped bulb went on the way home from the meet. First job today was replace it. Bl**dy cold out there. Airbox out, bulb replaced, dead easy. Confident as he**, replaced O/S main bulb, also easy. Confidence in ascendance, replaced airbox and moved to the nearside. Followed the book like last time and took the front left wheel off, then found the wheel arch cover would not flex, it was stiff with cold just like me. Dismounted the power steering reservoir, that gave an me extra half inch, replaced the N/S main bulb, again quite easy. Replaced reservoir, then took it off again to give access to the dipped light. Managed to take off the waterproof cover of the dipped light but it would not come out of the way. Took off the pipe from the coolant reservoir, then unfastened the power steering reservoir mounting and managed to pull the cover away. Replaced dip bulb.
Then disaster. It took Craig and I nearly three hours to fit the bulb holder into the lamp housing/reflector. I could get my hand in but could not place it correctly. Craig's were too big. Off came the airbox, again, photos taken of the O/S lamp and we had success. We were at the wrong angle. We now know a little more about the A8.
After a hot cuppa, reassembled the lot, remembered to put wheel back on, phew! and started to feel brave again. Out came the laptop, connected VCDS and did my first bit of coding. I now have the MMI hidden Menu. One more go and the Old Lady thinks she is Canadian and has the foglights and tailights as DRLs. Fitted a 128GB SDX card in the camera.
So now we are ready for driving to Scotland tomorrow. SWMBO wants to leave at 10:00, drive via Southport to collect two grandkids and away we go. :D
Oh forgot, on final check after putting it all together noticed the N/S parking light was not in the reflector. Being bloo*y minded I managed to get the flipper in place without undoing anything apart from the back cover. Don't ask me how but somehow did it.:o

Good stuff, nice to see your not scared to get stuck in doing things on the car, it's the best way to learn other than asking on here. Enjoy your trip to Scotland.

You were missed Brian - it just wasn't the same without you choking and the heimlich manoeuvre! Seriously though just chew your food better over the coming few days of further celebration in Sconny Botland! +++
