It's where I described, not really accessible for picture even with knee panel off as that part of the dash is pretty fixed and it's up behind it against the back of front face "glued" in place (but removable). :tuttut:

Oh OK.
I was sitting in the car today with computer and iPhone. Time on both is synchronised with time server. It was great to see how minute count changes **absolutely in synch** on the car instrument cluster, on my computer and on the phone. Love it. |
Yes I happened (while testing speaker options) to be in the car today listening to Radio 4 (voice is good for speaker testing) when it hit the "pips" on the hour.
Final pip, car clock changed. Spot on. :D |
OCD or what? :D

Why else do you have an 8?

Perfect response! Pleased to see it's such a common trait! :)

Right, i'm getting clock envy! How do us D3'ers get some of this synchronised timing action??

It used to come from the FM RDS signal, then one of the MMI updates turned it off.

No connection at back of cluster
I am not sure that it is the same, i recently have had the cluster out and there isn't a connection for the clock there. According to etka, the module is fitted behind the rear bumper, so its possible that some extra loom may be required.
