Funny thing is, when they first came out (can't remember if it was D2 or D3) one of the selling points of innovation was how cheap they are to repair compared to competition due to space frame and easily removable panels.

Spent the last 12 hours in the 7 Series, quiet, comfortable, economical, a tad boring and nothing 'special'...and it ain't an A8 :hammer:

Hope it all comes out well. When mine was in for repairs recently (which took a few days) SWMBO complained that i spent more time visiting it than when she was in hospital... :o

My preferred coach builder couldn't do the work in the allotted time and he recommended the Audi bodyshop, so if it's good enough for him to recommend I feel quite confident they will make a good job

Had a call from Audi this morning, there is a bracket broken and was only noticed when the wing was removed, they contacted Audi yesterday to try and have one sent up but they are on back order, looks like I might have to suffer the 7 series for a bit longer that originally thought

Had a call last night from the body shop that the broken bracket has arrived and should have the car back on Friday +++

Done a 20 hour shift in the 7 Series yesterday clocking up almost 600 miles on twisting A & B roads between Glasgow, Oban, Fort William and Glen Coe, well impressed with the car's handling and agility fuel economy was an impressive 42.3mph. I've changed my mind now, I like the car, but I hate the look of it, for some reason I can't like the style of the bodywork but as a driving car I can't fault it

I was going to offer exactly the same opinion. My dad has a 730d M-Sport, I had a run in it at the weekend and you've got to enjoy how it drives, but the looks are iffy. Oh and the economy can be spectacular, he recorded 60.1 mpg on a 275 mile round trip the other day
