Sounds ****e
I still don't think the D4 shape looks that great and I don't like the black wheels. Other than that..............it's okay |
My number plate would look good on this.... A good few years yet before they have depreciated enough for me however.
|
Looks quite desirable actually, (2nd hand of course...:p) - First time the D4 has appealed to me.
Driving one at the annual meet did help a little however..... If only they'd throw away the air suspension and make it proper stiff when you wanted it, then it might actually go round corners.... +++ |

The S8 plus was at the Frankfurt motorshow last week, so I was able to inspect it in the flesh. It was full exclusively lined with leather etc dripping, but sadly like the D4 in general it just doesn't do it for me.
To be honest, the bits of carbon trim they've stuck on it (and they do look stuck) , just don't really sit right. Its too much bling for me. I imagine it goes like stink, and that will be its redeeming factor, but then a normal S8 would too, and it would look a little less, yobbish..... What is really, really annoying me senseless, and its not just the D4, or even just Audi - But on the D3 the door card material carried on into the trim on the B pillar, and then onto the back door card - seamless and executive. Along with the D4, Virtually every car - Including the bloody maybach - the door trims stop, followed by plastic B pillar trims - and then onto the rear door card. I just don't get it. Beautiful double stitched leather running everywhere, then save a couple of quid by not doing the B pillar. Top marks to Porsche however for bothering to trim the Cayenne steering wheel cowel in leather, and additional points awarded to Land rover for presenting their flagship range rover with every bell and whistle including leather coated grab handles. Oh yes. That car moooed.... +++ |

(to sit alongside the S8, don't panic Mr Mannering!) Do we think this looks familiar? Note the stitched dash! |
