Maybe not but apparently they have a very informative sticky section, far superior to what we have here. Of course I could keep the A8 and fit Clio running gear, that way I would have the best of both worlds, wouldn't I?

Let's face it gents, we're a different generation. What percentage of the forum members would entertain the idea of a Renault Clio? I can see the intent of the fella but he's from a far more techy savvy time than me and what he says probably has some credence.

Each to their own as the saying goes +++

Each to their own indeed but does raise an interesting point about mobile access.

This forum runs a reasonably old version of vbulletin which does lack more modern features which I guess newer ones have.

The reasons are twofold. It kinda works well and I'm loathed to risk breaking it by doing an upgrade, and secondly newer versions do tend to 'improve' things but end up losing a lot of the easy to use consistency that us mature folks prefer in our interweb world.

Feedback on that welcomed.

On the second point of stickies and indexing I think we owe the existing mods a huge thank you for the organisation we do have, and I'll give a bit of thought on how we can better funnel and process messages from users who find quality content that is in danger of being lost in the banter.

We do have a very open banter policy on here which I think we all love but I guess it can then make it harder to file into the correct forum later on. I'm as guilty as anyone, so in the meantime as a community let's push to open threads in the correct forum and especially with newbies let's try and get queries posted as separate threads in the right place, after a warm welcome of course +++
