Without hijacking the thread completely,... does anyone know the best and not astronomically expensive route?

OEM.

Don't forget you need two TV licenses if you want to watch TV in your car while the mrs is watching her shows.

I looked in to it about 5/6 years ago when I wanted to fit TV in my BMW and then again in my Audi and it was something like the TV license only allows you to watch TV in one location, car or house.

Could be different now but I'm not sure how they could prove it either though.

You don’t need a separate TV Licence for:
Any device powered solely by its own internal batteries (i.e. it is not connected to an aerial or plugged into the mains). Your main home’s TV Licence will cover this.
Boats, touring caravans or vehicles as they’re already covered by your main home’s TV Licence.

Thanks Snap, that is how I have always understood this.

Hey i have the hybrid TV tuner fitted from factory. How many antenna's is it supposed to have connected to it.. as mine currently only has 3.. one of the two green fakra connectors only has one antenna wire feeding to the unit..is there something missing here as someone in this thread mentioned the D3 having 4 antenna's

thanks
