Mr Blobby looks a very good victim! I'm in Ballieston but willing to drive to help with cutting. Let me know and I could nip up over the weekend to chop away at it!

Hi Andy,
Responded to your PM +++
I have 2x angle grinders but the problem would be getting a power supply.

B4-Andy 28th January 2018 07:53 PM

So I asked a friend who's not shy with tools if he had a battery powered angle grinder. He said "I have the next best thing". Dubious as I was, I went to his house tonight to pick up "the next best thing". I now have a petrol generator and a 110v 9" angle grinder in the boot.

Mr Blobby was a terrible dissapointment, thought I’d raid the interior for parts but it’s rough as inside. Also the quarter is worse damaged than mine! :mad:

Thats a shame that the external panels have been damaged - it was in an OK state when I took stuff off it as BrianG will attest. The internals were generally ruined from the start though but as you didnt ask about those, I didnt mention it.

Ah the internals were a secondary thing, touch points are always good to have spares of when they wear, also if it was an early one the switches can be used in my 80 cab to freshen the dash up a bit.

Back to ebay with me!

I want to see it welded +++

Make sure you have an aluminium cutting disc in the grinder as aluminium can block the discs for steel, they get hot and can explode.

Ah no chance, I'm not doing the work, it'll be off to a body shop to get that work done! I want it done right, the last bodywork I did ended up a disaster, think Father Ted when he tried to hammer a ding out a Montego...
