The in-laws need this article projecting on their retinas. Typical small town Litte Britainers.

WE ARE ALL IMIGRANTS. Especially with us being an island, unless humankind originated right here!!

There are possibly small pockets of the population who believe that they are direct descendants of Adam and Eve who were - of course - white. :rolleyes:Evolution of species is, perhaps, something that some people find hard to grasp. And that "race" is a social construct and not a taxonomic definition.

I can tell you that Edgar Caye said in trance, also called a Reading. That Adam and Eve lived in Atlantis, and were red. And that Atlantis were located in the Atlantic ocean, between Gibraltar and Bimini

Spot on! In a book on genetics that I read recently, it pointed out that, not only does genetics not recognise ‘race’, but that if you find 3 people in a pub, one white and two ‘black’, then each of the black guys is most likely to be genetically more closely related to the white guy than to each other. Too hard to explain here, but it’s based broadly on the fact that relatively few of the original African humans migrated north and so the white folk interbred a lot and the Africans maintained a much bigger gene pool and so became very genetically diverse.

Oh, and the white folk became white, it’s assumed, to better absorb the lower levels of sunlight to synthesise vitamin D.
