Oh man that’s definitely got me excited!

There’s a wide arch D2 in black with what appears to be 5 spoke 2 or 3 piece split rims on a couple of those vids....that thing is sexual

Next time...

This was a great meeting, and I was really glad I could make it. Next time I'll come in a "proper" German car, not an American insurgent ;). I just got back to the UK early this morning, and this club weekend contributed a major part to a really enjoyable European break for me.

Thanks to also Neil and Mike in particular - as well as all the German organisers - for building the relationships with these guys over the past few years to help make this all so easy and seamless. It really did make it feel like one big European '8 family +++

Looks like a decent meet. 22 RR alloys don’t look that bad on the D3. Wonder if they rub?

Seeing all those cars in one big convoy is amazing. Only problem is if you're watching the convoy, you're not in it.

When I got the S8, it had 21x10.5 all round, and only rubbed on the front plastic arch liner when turning... result being that both need replaced.

I didn't twig what the wheels were from at the time, but it looked pretty good aired out +++

Few lines to bring my journey to the end.
Stayed in Valkenburg for two nights, hotel charge = nil. Included free dinner first night. Second night I insisted it was my treat so what did they do. All four friends dined at home before meeting me at the hotel restaurant, then watched as I partook of a schnitzel and mushroom sauce. They let me pay for the drinks but only when I ordered the waitress to ignore them. Great having good friends.
There is a sad bit here, one of the gang is in hospital with leukaemia, prognosis bad. Visited him Thursday afternoon, hospital park house cost me €1.20, much cheaper than here.
Set off for home after breakfast Friday, caught the 13:50 train of Calais which I left at 13:25 (UK time), expected ETA at ours 17:54. Lost over an hour on the M25, then lost another 40 mins on the M40. Arrived home at 20:00 Friday night.
Today drove the coach to a 1940s spectacular at Lytham St Annes.
Might be free now till Friday, looks like Edinburgh again.

Thought I'd show you all the table reserved card from the barbecue at the Saturday rodelbahn.

I think that’s my dream D2 there Neil.

It looks to be very well executed.
