Haven't looked at this on the car angle wise, but can you get a crows foot spanner on it?

I tried the basin spanner and it won't work ,can get it on but can't turn it ,so Ill have to get the crow foot spanner and see if it'll work ,getting something on it isn't that bad it's getting room to turn it is the problem

Do you need to fashion yourself one of these tools (VAG 1331/8) to do the fuel lines with? I took this image from the service manual for the BSM engine:
