Were on my car with a couple of surf boards and body boards on it for a week and left no marks on the roof or around the door appetures :)

Well have made it down to Devon with the roofbox still attached - kept the speed to 75 indicated to reduce stress on the bars and box. Removed the whole shooting match as plenty of space to store while we're down here for the week and don't need the extra storage for day trips!

Had to completely reset the bars to get them to fit but seemed to be OK in the end. Does squish the chrome trim a bit when you tighten the bars but seems to relax back to normal when you take them off.

One track lanes in an S8 - not amusing! Met a car and a tractor coming the other way - ABS for the car and back up for the tractor. Also managed to ground the car out over a pot hole I missed, but at least the skid plates have done their job lol

Got a pic on the phone which I'll try and upload tomorrow :) Wish the box sat 6" lower, but otherwise it was quiet and unobtrusive.

Welcome to Devon  Nice sunny days = idiots in massive tractors making up for some tiny knob in the cab half the time, and i'm not talking about the diff lock lever. What ever happed to that little gray fergie.

Must admit I'd be much less worried if we had the a6 down here but at least it's post school hols so a lot less traffic about!
