The 'correct fitment on our cars is anything from ET 35 to ET 48 a difference of 1/2" in old money.

As yours are 9J, Audi 9J wheels were around the ET45 area and could easily handle a 275 tyre, 285 would need a 9.5J wheel. Have a read through this thread.

i think i will go for a 275 tyre all round once theses 235s are bold, thanks for all the help!
