Although I have some sympathy with the Jocks, I concur with Dezzy that we did it in North Yorkshire last year and there was not a big turn out from north of the border. The bulk of the forum membership is Midlands / north based. I am happy to go anywhere as the meetings have been getting better year on year. I will set up a vote for those that want to come to see what the most peeps want.

Just remember the organisers will need to be able to get there to do the planning / Recce etc. Last year I put in nearly 500 miles just organising it! It was Fun though...........:D

No real complaint with it being midlands based, but I can't do the date, and the traffic round the area will be mad that weekend.. In fact most weekends in June are likely to be bad for me :(

The problem with moving it later is that 2 or 3 weeks later we have GTI international as another supported event on the 25th & 26th June, and then into July a lot of people are away on holiday etc through to august. The annual meet was supposed to be early season before all that originally and if we bring it forwards into May then there is even less time to organise something!
it could maybe be the weekend of the 4/5th June if that's any help?

I echo the comments of Mike about moving it further North in terms of the fact that it was in Yorkshire last year (if my gearbox hadn't gone then I would have been there too!) and we agreed that we would aim for a Midlands venue this year, but that doesn't stop it being somewhere totally different again next year etc, in fact it really makes it more interesting to get around different parts of the country.

4/5 June should work for me, and it's the week before Download, so roads should be 'normal' and I might be allowed :)

Locality isn't an issue, especially if we'll move it around.

Looking good for early june and thanks for keeping it in the midlands this year...our biggest turnouts over the last 5 years have always been more midlands/south based events IIRC.
