I wouldn't do longlife unless your car racks up lots of motorway miles - if you only do 10k a year then better to do annual servicing as the oil costs a lot less and personally I'd rather have my car in to be checked over annually rather than 18 months or more.

It's not, the place to AVOID is Vasstech in Rugby. We still can't say for sure due to the amount of crap that was still in there (we used alost 20 litres flushing it), but we still believe they used the wrong stuff

An advert was just on the radio now for Vasstech. Saying they only use OEM parts!

i had a full service from audi for £365 from memory on my 4.2 petrol might have been less. i thought it was reasonable for keeping a FASH

Included 8 plugs, Oil, Oil filter, Air Filter, Fuel Filter

Thought I'd update this thread.
After a lot of research and thought I took the 8 back to Audi.
Many of the lower quotes I had were for very basic oil changes. Some also didn't inspire me with confidence when questioned ;)
After ringing around I had some vastly different prices for the work from various dealers.
Ended up at Stafford Audi (about 35 miles away but where the car was first registered ) they offer to do a comparison quote on the website. So I filled in the details and they rang me back with a quote.
The gave me a very reasonable £425 quote for a full major service ...long life with Fuel, Air and Pollen filters. Derby was near £700 as an example.
They also pointed out the Brake fluid and Air Con had never been touched so I opted for the works and a grand total of £534. Which I think is good for the amount of work. Apart from a slightly bald spare:( she got a clean bill of health too.
I know this may not be the cheapest but when you price up the filters not included in the quotes of 200-300 it starts to look worthwhile. I also know ( having only bought her in March) everything is up todate and in order which gives me some comfort.
Can thoroughly recommend the chaps there too very straightforward. Had the use of a Q5 for the day which was a Sportline job well spec'd and have to say I was amazed the damn thing was so "chuckable" for a tall 4x4. Bl**dy pricey though £40K for this demo job. I'll stick with my 8 for now :)
Cheers
Glyn
