No I have had the box rebuilt in the Uk and the torque converter custom rebuilt in the states (it's an uprated raceing one) to my spec as it needs to take 950 nm torque or if you prefer 700 lbs p ft at 3000 revs, iirc it has been built to take 800 ls p ft just to be on the safe side :D very much cheaper than going manual I might say:p

may i ask what car that is ? sound like rs6 kind of torque did not think my box would take more than 600bhp/700nm

the box will be fine as long as it is rebuilt before fitting an uprated torque converter especially if it is custom built to your driving style. Price also might sway you as the uprated torque converter is only approx $500 depending what you have done plus shipping, so is seriously cheaper than buying a new oem one or going manual :p
