It should be awesome, especially as you have a8 gearing. If it was an s8 I think I'd be looking at 6 speed box options to stop it driving me nuts on the motorway!
yea i hope so its a lot of money to get that kind of power but then when you compare it to other things like new s8 price and cost of high performance cars ect then its not that bad at all
^^^ Buddy, I thought you had a home-brewed supercharger for your engine already? Then you were looking to trade your A8 for a D3 W12. Now you're looking at buying an RS6 engine, junking the biturbo set-up, and supercharging it instead??
The best way to get things done, is stick to a plan. Otherwise you'll never get things done, will spend $$$,$$$ and achieve little. Just a thought bud. +++ |
its just a theory i try my best to explore every option before i make a mistake and realize that for the same money i could of had... ect best to put many ideas out there and get some constructive feed back and then make a choice about the best avenue to go down, if you look at most of my post's the things i look for is uniqueness if it has been done to many times i will find something else, any way its was just a question of weather it would fit in the engine bay better with it stripped down and more simplified ei, no turbo's and all the other bits to accompany them.
^^^ That's cool buddy, just jerking your chain. +++
Nice idea but we have lots of problems with rs6 bottom ends ... They are £££ to fix ..
oooo was not aware of that is the A8/S8 engine really as bullet proof as lagend may have it then ?
The 077 engines in the D11/D2/non FSI D3/C5 (exc. RS6) are tough, well-proven units. There have been turbocharged examples in Europe, with good results.
Personal choice? A built engine supercharged, with supporting hard and software. Big capacity engines respond well to belt-driven chargers. Less heat generated too, turbochargers are also harder to package neatly in the D2 chassis. |
