Yep, carpets have been out and dried for weeks - actually REALLY dry

Psyche - i have the same issue lol

Architex_mA8tey - also done this while car was parked on a hill - surprisingly managed about 500ml of water out.

Generally the car gets steamier if its left on auto - i wondered if it was better to have on a certain setting...

In that case maybe you have a problem with the aircon dehumidifier? Not sure how you check that.

Possible the receiver/drier needs changed, not expensive but will require the system to be recharged once fitted

Il get looking into it just now

Thought the drier was just for the aircon fluids which never actually come into contact with the humid air?

It keeps everything inside the system clean and working properly

Quote:

Drier or Accumulator: The drier, also known as the receiver-drier, is sort of the safety catch for your system. The compressor is only supposed to compress the gas form of your refrigerant. However, there's always a chance that some liquid could make it back that far. The drier catches this liquid before it can damage your compressor. Since even the tiniest leak or careless installation can introduce water moisture to the system, the drier absorbs this chemically, using what's called a dessicant (similar to that packet of "DO NOT EAT" that comes with electronics). The drier also has a filter that catches any gunk that might be in there.

Yup..but it's 'sealed' so the steam you see is more likely to come from the matrix where it's not drained properly.

Yes but if the system is not working correctly it won't keep the interior clear
