I had a very early 1959/1960 one and remember the pull-cord door openers, sliding windows and door pockets that would take several (6?) pint bottles of milk each side. IIRC something blatant was missing on the "dash" - fuel gauge maybe?

Mine had all the above and, like most, grew moss in the channels that the windows slide along.

But it had 3 dials: the large central speedo; the fuel gauge and a temperature gauge.

Yours would also have had a push button start (on the floor IIRC)- now there's an 'old technology' that we've gone back to in some cars!

Yes, push button starter which presumably saved on a solenoid. :ROFL:Only one dial, like this (but without the extra instruments).

I remember touring the Highlands in a Mini with the floor mounted starter button when it failed, spent the rest of the holiday crawling under the car and bridging the two connections on the underside with a screwdriver everytime I needed to start it, maybe explains my frizzy hair:o

I remember my MK2 Jaguar had a little key in the dash left of centre and the start button to the right just past the lights switch.

Turn key on and your thumb was just perfect for the starter button - lovely!
