i think the C6 is probably basic like the B8 though.... Not that you can call your C6 'basic'... :o ;) |
No, the D4 was supposed to do that too. But when it went to France the beam had to be manually adjusted, I say 'manually' but it was actually done with a few clicks of the MMI.

AFAIK a lot of this will only work if you have "online services" working via the sim card in the dash so that the sat nav knows where you are. it then accesses a database of speed limits it has and I guess turns down the lights as you come into any built up area that has street lighting. same applies to things like holding gears based on what bends are upcoming and adjusting headlight beams and adaptive lighting to suit the current/upcoming position

Sooo.... If you take out the navigation disc, the hi beam assist stops working.?.. Easy test, off you go Amar lol +++
|
it doesnt stop working, it has a sensor that still dips for other cars coming in the other direction, it just stops dipping automatically when you come into towns, but not sure amar has this option with MMI 3G high with online services and a live sim card in this car?

I'm not sure it has a navigation DVD, the map data might be saved on the hard drive. Did I mention it has a hard drive, you can just copy all the songs from the SD card on to it, forgot what GB it is now, but it is huge. Neil, I do have a place to insert a SIM, does that mean I have online services? The car is three years and two months old, not sure when all that stuff came out.

It'll be MMI3G at that age I imagine, especially with the HDD in there.
Not sure what online services MMI3G came with though... I thought that was the 4G that had the GPS-related stuff. |
